Stone Age Sanctum

I know I promised to have a go at a column ages ago, and I've been thinking a little about this one. It's more a kernel of an idea than anything else, prehistoric action-horror weirdness. I'm no expert on the Mesolithic or Neolithic, though I might go and do some reading to help couch things correctly. Probably steal numerous ideas from this thread.

I'm thinking a world where the spirit realm is close to reality, and sorcerors are those who bind the spirits with infernal pacts of servitude, rather than bargaining with them and placating them with offerings as is the proper way.

I'd read it.

Believe it or not, Sanctum: Gilgamesh is still on my todo list. The Sumerians had an interesting relationship with their gods, one that I think works nicely in a culture that knows it rid the world of demons not too long ago. I highly recommend it as a possible backbone for your idea.

I might well steal from some of their ideas about how the world was before the demons were expelled, then.
