Your approach to comedy in Og reminds me of Valley of the Mammoths boardgame, humor is found in trying to survive in cruel and violent world.
I recommend taking a peek of it or playing the boardgame if possible, where as Og is parody of roleplaying games, Valley of the Mammoths is parody of the co-operative and non-violent tradition of European boardgames.
