Nice. Never heard of "Noble Wild" before, thanks for letting us know about it. (And thanks for not spoiling the movie, I hate that and haven't seen that one.)

Hello Ivy. Thank you very much for telling us what you like and don't like about role-playing games. This was helpful to me since I run an RPG Club at the local library for 10+ year-olds. I'm always looking for ways to improve the game and your comments give me more to work with. Thanks!

Re: #146: One Gamer's View

Ivy,

Great article! I started roleplaying when I was in fifth grade, and now I have kids of my own, ages 14, 12 and 10, and they all love roleplaying, too. They'd usually prefer to sit down and play a "live" roleplaying game to playing video games or watching TV. I often run a game for them called Monsters and Other Childish Things, and they love it. Of course, we're a little biased because I also publish that game and my daughter did a little of the art in it. She's written some really funny short stories and poems about her favorite monster from that game. We've also played Mouse Guard, Wild Talents (another of my company's games), the Star Wars roleplaying game, and Dungeons and Dragons.

Thanks for telling us about your gaming!

Re: #146: One Gamer's View

Very nice article. I started as a player, and learned how to GM only after no one else wanted to. It turns out that it just takes practice, and it is a lot of fun, at least for me. Some folks like to GM, and some like to play a character.
