Sort posts by start date(?) + More threads per page

Hey Sandy-
Is this even a technical possibility? Other people have been asking for it, and I tend to agree.

Also, is it possible to increase the amount of threads per page to a higher number? It's set across the board at 30 (half of what it used to be), and already there's three pages of posts. Would it be possible to change this number to 50? 60?

If you go into your user cp, you can increase the # of posts on a page to 40. But that appears to be the max. I haven't seen anything that let's us go to a thread mode, unfortunately.

It's not the same thing. I'm talking about the number of TOPICS able to be viewed per FORUM page (set at 30 and unchangable), not the number of POSTS able to be viewed from each TOPIC page (left up to the user, max 40).

I increased the default posts/page and also increased the number of posts/thred that users can set to.

I have to agree here. If it's possible with this system, then the thread sorting definitely needs to be changed to start date. It's already difficult to figure out which threads are new and it's only going to get worse as the database gets larger.
