Chocobo

Someone on another thread mentioned that there's really no easy way to do someone like Iron Man in COH. Well, since one of my all-time favorite RPG characters is Armorman (a blatant ripoff of Iron Man originally but he became a pretty deep character) I had to make an attempt to render him COHable.
What I found that worked really well for me was a Defender with Force Field/Energy Blast. It feels powerful. Granted, it's an illusion of toughness, because if I get a few thugs beating on me without the forcefield up the hit points drop real fast. But the ability to use my "repulsor beams" to throw bad guys around like rag dolls means that with good reflexes I can keep all my enemies at range and prevent a lot of attacks from all that knockdown.
I really really like this character. People have said defenders are weak, but my gut feeling is that this guy is actually the most powerful hero I made. Plus, I got tired of trying to chase down bad guys in heavy lag with my tanker - that was really annoying.
