No response to my last post, so...
Politically Incorrect Games was not added to the Industry Directory. It is in your computer because I tried to add it again, and was told that it was already in the database. Please fix this problem.

The Industry directory is by and large a fossil in this website. Don't hold your breath for it to be fixed or updated any time soon. When the site's overhaul is finished it might be gone or at the very least be totally revised. I'd try again at that time...

'Course, that might also be because nobody has ever heard of Politically Incorrect Games.
What do you produce?

The Bill Maher RPG. His eternal goal is to overthrow Dennis Miller, or at least be a quarter as intelligent and a tenth as funny.
That's just a guess. I'm not affiliated with Politically Incorrect Anything At All.
I'll shut up now. It's the medication. I've had a lot of darvocet and caffeine, see.

Gareth has stated that no one has never heard of pigames. Gee, how many links don't work in there? How many companies in the directory that no one has heard of? I've never heard of you, Gareth? But I don't hold that against you.
Try to offer worthwhile opinions.
You can check out Politically Incorrect Games at www.pigames.net
All I wanted was a link. I don't see why it was so difficult. I do want to thank crayne for his input. I finally got a straight answer to a simple question.
Obviously, this web site is under disrepair. Any claims to its completeness is exaggerated.

Politically Incorrect Games at www.pigames.net
You might want to make the font (that appears in the little description of your game) thicker. I had to triple-click the text to read it easier (the thinness of the font plus the grainy background don't interact well).
Otherwise your game sounds good. Good luck.

If I haven't heard of you, that's because I've never come across your name in the 14 years that I've been working in this industry. WHICH IS WHY I ASKED WHAT YOU PRODUCE.
If you haven't heard of me....well....doesn't speak well for your knowledge of the industry, now does it?
Ask around. You'll find out who I am, including the fact that I do consultancy for new publishers.

Quit being such a pissy little bitch.
You asked for a link, I asked you what you produce. If you can't answer that question without indignation, perhaps you're in the wrong business.
That is, of course, assuming you're in the business at all. Looking at your website, I see this is not the case. You appear to be yet another momma's-basement fanboy group, trying to be a publisher without any clue of what to do or how to do it. You'll fade into obscurity within a year.
Nice talking with ya, junior.

It is amazing how many people forget manners when they hide behind a computer screen. Your experience does not impress me, nor do your words. Arrogance is not becoming.
I merely asked a simple question and was met with attitude. Whether my company has ever been heard of is irrelevant. I submitted a form to be included in the link section, I did not ask if you have ever heard of me.
It is arrogance such as yours that promotes hatred and violence. Get a life.
P.S. Do you remember Vampire First Edition or the original D&D? They were created by small companies that blossomed into major players. It is the content and the marketing. My site is beginning to promote the game. It is not available yet. That's what a preview is.
Also, your site is not much different than mine. D20 system? I'm not interested in using others people's work for my games. I want to be creative. Let's face facts, the D20 system is lame. I want to work with quality content and mechanics. I'm not in it for the money. I'm in it to give people a choice. The choice between sub-par D20 fantasy (D & D), complicated magical fantasy (Ars Magica), boring fantasy (others) and a new simple and extensive game world/system (Shadim). Not that I don't like D & D or Ars Magica. But, they do have their flaws.
This pissy little bitch doesn't care how long you've been around and who knows you. You are not judged solely on those factors. I have been involved in the rpg scene for over 15 years myself, and I have never heard of you, nor do I care. I myself do not seek publicity, as I find it quite tacky. I merely seek to provide a quality alternative which is fun.

Neither is insulting someone first.
If you're "beginning" to promote a game that isn't available yet, it shouldn't be a shock to hear "That might also be because no one has ever heard of Politically Incorrect Games" as a response to why you're not in an industry directory. Gareth was trying to learn more about your stuff (to wit: "What do you produce?") before you pissed on him.

Jason does make a valid point. It is possible that I took Gareth's statement the wrong way. The post may have sounded condenscending to me, yet was not intended to do so. If this was the case I apoligize to Gareth.

If you ask around, you'll find that I'm more than willing to say the same things to your face. I have a well-established reputation for speaking my mind in person as well as online. I don't hide behind anything.
(Again, a mistake you've made by not finding out who you're dealing with....notice a trend here?)

Well, hate to tell ya this, junior, but you should only expect to be listed in an industry directory IF YOU'RE ACTUALLY *IN* THE INDUSTRY, which, by your own admission, you're not. WHICH IS WHY I ASKED WHAT YOU PRODUCE.
I was just trying to figure out who you were, so that I could talk to the RPGnet folks---who I have a long history with, and so figured that I might be able to shake the tree and help ya out.
You weren't met with any 'attitude', other than curiousity. You'd think that a 'company' that has *such* a KEWL slogan as "games with 'tude' would be a little more aware of what constitutes 'attitude'.

Not only do I remember it, junior, but very good friends of mine wrote and produced it.

Well then, when you've designed 4 other commercially-available game systems (including a top-20 seller) for three seperate companies, have written freelance for about a dozen other companies' games, and have been nominated for an Origins Award, you can lecture me on being creative.
Again, try to find out who you're attempting to insult. A little bit of research will prevent you from making an ass out of yourself...not to mention completely pissing off people who might have been able to help you out.

You think publicity is 'tacky', and yet you're bitching about not being listed in the Industry Directory. Hmmm.
You've been 'involved in the rpg scene for over 15 years'....sorry, junior, being a player doesn't count. Try working professionally in the industry for that long, and then I'll give you some respect.
...and yes, I saw your half-assed apology that you posted, after Mr. Sartin pointed out to you the very same thing that I did...that you shouldn't answer questions about what you do with indignation. Somehow I doubt your sincerity, especially after the vitriol that you've spewed all over me, for daring to ask who you were and what you've done.
Given your reaction to questions like that, as well as your willingness to go after people without finding out who you're dealing with, not to mention your stunning ability to alienate people who might have been able to offer you advice and assistance, I'm sure that you'll have a brilliant career ahead of you in the game industry. Sure.
Oh, and if you want to deal with me face to face, I'll be at the GAMA trade show in Vegas in late March. Love to see ya.

Obviously my first reaction was warranted. Who am I dealing with? An arrogant and egomaniacal man who thinks that he is the voice for the community. I'm not looking for your respect. I was simply trying to get a link posted, and was met with incompetence, inaction, and:
"Course, that might also be because nobody has ever heard of Politically Incorrect Games."
Again, that is irrelevant. Have you looked at the links posted? Lots of bad ones, bad sites, and bad games. So, what you're saying is that people have heard of all the crappy games and companies listed there. Maybe it was asking too much to be listed next to crap.
One thing I do respect about you is your ability to dish it out. I applaud you for that.
The publicity I was talking about is personal publicity. A company, of course, requires its own.
Who a person is does not affect how they treat people. If the president murders someone then he is a murder, and should no longer be president.
I am willing to concede that I may have flown off the handle a bit. But, lets face facts. Your statement above was obviously from a position of condescendence. I don't expect you to admit it. That is the tone you wrote it it, though. Thou art mightier than I.

Thank you for confirming my speculation about the sincerity of your "apology", and doing it so publicly for the folks reading this thread.
For the record, I wasn't attempting to be condescending. I was saying, simply, that the fact that you're an unknown might be a contributing reason to why you haven't been listed. Pretty reasonable assumption.
So, I asked what you produce. Again, also reasonable.
I also wasn't being 'arrogant'....you said you hadn't heard of me, and I suggested that you ask around. When you obviously did not, and continued to take slaps at me, I pointed out some of my credentials. Not arrogance, FACT.
But hey---apparently you have some kind of insight into what I was thinking when I wrote it. Since you say that I wrote it 'obviously from a position of condescendence'....who am I to correct you?
To the rest of the folks reading: I just fucking LOVE the position that unknowns take, where if you point out that they're unknown, somehow YOU'RE the one at fault, and you get accused of being condescending and arrogant. I mean, how DARE you have more experience than they do? You bastard!
Whatever. I'm sure that PIG will be very, very successful...I mean, come on--- a fantasy role-playing game that attempts to 'correct' the 'problems' with D&D? Why, that's BRILLIANT! Nobody has ever tried THAT before!

The really sad thing is, they usually DON'T.
Most of the time, it's some terminally clueless fanboy who played AD&D for 10 or 15 years and suddenly said "Oooh, oooh! I can do that, too!" Things like 'problems' or 'correcting' don't even occur to them (along with 'originality' or 'a fucking point to it all', but that's a whole other rant). Crappy game design city!
Worse, you can't always tell by the creator's attitude: crappy *D&D clones have been inflicted on us by nice guys (http://the_eminent.tripod.com/realmquest.htm) and self-aggrandizing morons (http://www.rpg.net/news+reviews/reviews/rev_3117.html) alike!

While crayne is largely correct about the Industry Directory being outdated, I've tested the system and found it to be functional.
The way our Directory works is this: Person X submits their website through the web form; the system emails us with the site info and a link to click on that, if clicked, adds the site to the Directory. I've gone through my confirmation emails the system has sent me, and don't see one from Politically Incorrect Games. This could be for any number of reasons, not the least of which being our recent server switch.
If you could sent me the description you'd like attached to your link, I'll look into putting it in manually. Sorry for the glitch, and for the delay in responding.
