In the space of 24 hours i first blew my one rare chance of getting my hands on a copy of Spherewalker, and then i got a copy of HQ as a gift from friends who didn't know i already had one of that. So i'm trying to balance the scales of karma now, and you know you want to help me with it.
Offering:
HeroQuest: Roleplaying in Glorantha by Robin D. Laws and Greg Stafford. One hundred percent mint condition, as if straight from the printer. Normally a $40 value.
or
Something else - see below.
Requesting:
Spherewalker: an Everway Sourcebook by Greg Stolze. Must be at least in good condition: a limited amount of creases, or minimal tearing or stains are acceptable. (But listen, i say minimal!)
and (/or - see below)
Spherewalker source cards. Must be in at least near mint condition: in particular, occasional very slight corner wear is acceptable. I don't care if they're the factory set, or if they've been collected, all i want is that it's the full set, with or without the chase cards.
I'll do everything reasonable to make sure the HQ book arrives in the same condition it's in right now (ie. i'm a careful packer) and i expect the same in return.
I'm flexible! If you've got this stuff for trade, but you're not interested in HeroQuest, absolutely PM me and we'll work something out. I want Spherewalker badly enough that i'll go out of my way to find something else you want, even if that means going out to the store. This also goes in the case you can trade me the book only, and not the cards. Even if you only have the cards and not the book, it won't hurt you to get in touch with me, but in this case i really don't promise anything, because i value the book a lot more than the cards.
If you're not sure whether your book or cards are up to the condition standards outlined above - PM me! Hell, if you know they're not, PM me anyway and we might still make some kind of an arrangement.
Multiple offer policy: Realistically, i'm not expecting to get more than one offer on this, but just in case, to avoid any misunderstandings or hard feelings, let me say this. This is not strictly a first-come-first-serve deal: early offers do get preference, but offers from people i know get priority over early ones. I'll generally wait for 48-72 hours after getting the first good offer before accepting it. And please read on.
Timing policy: Well, it's the holiday season and lots of people aren't looking at the forums right now. That, and between the 8th and 15th of January i'll be hiking in the mountains with no internet access. And my request is a rather specific one, so it might take a while until the right person reads it. Therefore, i have to ask you for a bit of patience: if i happen to get a perfect offer by January 5th (perfect as in, you've got exactly what i want and you want exactly what i've got, no special negotiations necessary) i'm taking it; otherwise, please wait until January 16th to hear from me. It can't be helped.
To repeat: I'm not here between the 8th and 15th of January 2005!
I'll post a notice when my offer no longer stands. This means that if you've come across this thread months after i've started it, and there's no post below to say the offer is closed, assume that it still stands. Of course, i cannot guarantee an immediate response in this case - who knows how often i'll be checking the forum six months from now.
Cash policy: Generally, this is a trade-only offer, but an exception could be made. I live in a place where i normally can't use PayPal, or send money orders or use any other convenient method of money transfer between private individuals. If you absolutely want only cash, and you make your offer before New Year, i can ask a huge favor from a friend who could send you the money for me by PayPal (he's only here for the holidays) but i'd really, really like to keep this option as a last resort. I'd much rather, say, go to an online store and order something you wanted than do this.
If you read this post a long time after i've posted it, you can still contact me about the cash option, but don't expect much, because its availability to me depends on many factors, including a someone else's good will.
I'm willing to part with as much as $30 for a perfect mint copy of the book or $25 for near mint; and $15 for a perfect mint card set. Plus postage, of course. Once more, these cash values are not for the minimum condition standards listed in the request above.
Whew. I think i've covered it all.
Cheers,
