Well, the subject pretty much says everything I want to ask... can anyone suggest a good book on writing scripts for television? I think I'd be looking for something at a beginner-intermediate level, and information on format would be very useful.

And hey, this isn't completely unrelated to gaming - I just, um, haven't quite figured out how to connect the two yet...

The Writer's Guide to Writing Your Screenplay: How to Write Great Screenplays and Movies for Television, By Cynthia Whitcomb.

You should be able to find it a Barnes and Noble or on Amazon.com.

This book covers all types of scriptwriting, and is what I found to be very informative: The Complete Book of Screenwriting, by J. Michael Straczynski.

Try the books by Sid Field. Screenplay and The Screenwriter's Workbook. Both are quite good.
