I just found out yesterday that one of my favorite Hobby Stores in Fremont, CA is closing up. The rat bastard city council "imminent domained" their building and forced them to sell. On top of that, the aforementioned rat bastards on the city council sold the land to a developer. Why? to generate higher tax revenues of course. Oh, did I mention the city council of Fremont is a bunch of land stealing, claim jumping rat bastards. I just wanted to be clear on this point.

Anyway, the Shop is Scenario Game and Hobby on Fremont Blvd just south of Thornton Ave. If you're in the bay area, they'll be open until mid august and they're liquidating their stock. Right now everything is 25% off, but I assume as the closure date looms, they will no doubt decrease their pricing.

From what I saw, they've got a ton of Warhammer (at more than 25% off - closer to 35%-40%) Lots of Gurps, Shadowrun, D20, and other stuff. They also carry Boy/cub/girl scout stuff and other hobby stuff for trains and models.

Anyway, these are good people forced off their land and they could use the help in recouping the loss. Support Mom and Pop business!

Too bad they don't have a website. Wouldn't mind trying to order from them and have them ship it to me.

I second that, being a native from the Bay Area I would totally be down with supporting, but I would need a website to order from.

Alas...

If they have any Heroquest stuff or carry OOP used games I would be so there with my credit card.

Same thing here. I'll always get in on a deal but with a website or even a product list not much I can do.

Wow. That blows... I'm in San Leandro now, so don't get down there frequently, but I've been shopping on and off at Scenario for years now. I'm really sorry to hear the Imminent Domain thing finally made it through.

Chuck's been a stand-up guy and really patient with the store over the years. That really sucks.
