Cool,
I had so much fun reading peoples responces, I decided to throw another one at you. This piece took a while to do, so I probably couldn't do this on a tight deadline, but I had alot of fun with it. I did this one just for fun

daaaaaaammmmmnnnnnnn....

....that is sweet.

In the hindsight is best arena... I do have one small nitpick. His ass is barely on the stair. Some fudging was done there. That step could have been a scouch bigger. But that is a small nitpick.

Thanks Scorn,
Who's ass are you talking about? That cracked me up by the way. Coming from you, that's great to hear
Thanks

Rookie my ass! You're a rookie like I'm Bill Gates.

I wish you could work cheap. But if I ever hear about you working cheap, I'm sending Hershey and his thumb-breakers over to talk about shorting yourself.

No reason 'cept gumption you shouldn't be earning a living with work like yours.

Matt,
Thanks for the compliments. What I meant by rookie, was that I haven't been in this business very long, but I've been drawing my whole life. Money shmoney, what have you got? Right now, I'm looking to get some experience under my belt. As long as you pay something and the work looks fun, I'm interested.
Let me know if something comes up.
Thanks again,
Chris

Well, sir. Damned fine work, damned fine indeed. I'm jealous.

Looks like I've my work cut out for me. I'd better get to work.

Thanks Steve,

I took a look at your stuff too. You don't have anything to be jealous about. Knowing nothing about fine art, I was dazzled with your illustration work. Are you freelancing now? In the rpg biz I mean. Your style is perfect for virtually ever fantasy setting out there. Great stuff!
Thanks again,
Chris

Good grief... This is superb work!

I gotta go practice!

Seriously how cool is this forum now? I feel that we should start charging admission! This is a great place to be inspired in the best possible way by other artists, who are friendly and willing to offer advice. It's a brilliant little community, for people who otherwise can lead a pretty isolated professional life.

Thanks for showing us that top piece of work Chriss2d !

Thank you Chris. Yup, in the RPG biz. I've worked for pretty much everyone major EXCEPT White Wolf. Right now, my big clients seem to be the ressurected Hero Games (Champions) also known as DOJ. Another major client is AEG. But I've done work for a host of others in the past, WEG, FASA, Wotc, ICE and many more.

I like to think that there really isn't a genre that I cannot do. Except Anime. I've been influenced by anime and manga...but you probably can't see it in my style. I like the variety that RPGs have to offer. After a couple of months of doing fantasy genre art, its a blast to switch to Super Heroes or Sci-fi.

Too cool for words! send more pictures! Seriously Jon, I totally agree. I'm so excited to peruse this section of RPGnet every day to see what has come down the pike. And every new artist just seems to really add to the pot.

I've been part of other internet artist groupings... but this one seems to be the most dynamic I've ever been part of. It still smaller than some of the other ones too, making it feel to me like I really kinda get to know each one of you, not just your art. So yeah, very cool.

Thanks to everyone for your words. I've definitely found a new obsession. This forum is a blast. To Jon H. no problem and thanks for the compliments. To Storn, I have a hard time with anime too. The stuff I did on Exalted was about as anime as I can draw. I have problems with style in general really. I've been drawing comic art for so long that I have a hard time changing to suit a games look. Especially traditional fantasy art. I'm a hopeless pen and ink b/w lover. But I do hope to someday do some color work. Maybe with Photoshop because I can't paint at all. Thanks again to all and I hope to see more of your work soon.

Chris, very nice detail in the face. Is it someone's actual face, or does it come from your head? Same with the body for that matter. I'll say it again, your style is awesome. I'm even more worried now. Where the hell is my gear, I gotta get practising.....

Thanks Eric,

The face is made up. In the past I tried drawing from reference and the art came out stiff and unnatural. I haven't gotten the hang of photo referencing yet. Whenever I use this style, I'm pretty happy with the results, but it takes forever! I wish I could do this sort of work for a publisher, but I'd have to have a really generous deadline. What can you do? Once again, I'd like to thank everyone for your words. It means alot to me

 Whoa, after seeing that, and with talks of everyone needing to practice more, how will I ever hope to catch up with?

Hehe, I think I'm probably better off sticking to my graphic design and web work. So should you ever need those types of skills, lemme know. :)

I would never discourage anyone from drawing. Unless you don't enjoy it of course.
You should use us in a positive manner.
If you see something you like, you should study it and figure out how it's done. It works for me anyway.
I appreciate the comments
Chris
