... your status as the chief creator of the godawful 'Midian' RPG seriously precludes me from taking any of your revies seriously.

Last I heard, Golgotha was a place. Isn't that kinda like calling yourself Detroit Friendstabber or something?

Or Minnesota Fats, or Louis Something or other.

You may have already seen my statement of opinion on Mr. 'Kinslayer' and his group of 'Lost Souls' under his friend Liam's review of Midian (I posted as my real name, James P), but here is a quote directly from his webpage at lostsouls.hk.st which I believe exemplifies his idiocy:

'Get out. Hang with your friends & Packmates. Get falling down drunk. Watch "The Crow." Play Midian. Surf for pr0n. Wear all black... bonus points if you sing Johnny Cash songs while doing so... Play Midian again. Have a blast. I'm too fucking tired to continue along these lines. More to follow... '

The immortal words of Golgotha Kinslayer. Need I say more?

Minnesota Fats is an awful name. He got respect because he could use a stick to put balls into small holes. If some random kid at Green Park Senior High School went around calling himself Minnesota Fats, he would be teased unmercifully.

Though, Golgotha Fats has a kewl ring to it, don't ya' think?

Reading this review got me thinking about creating some random tables for custom weapon appearance. Is that included in this product?

The Tome of the Ancients, Vol 1 - Artifacts product is intended to provide ideas and inspiration for many types of artifacts. While the system certainly gives ideas for what the weapon would look like, there are no specific tables with results like "hilt like dragon wings" or anything like that.

The book is more about building a background for an artifact and inspiring the user with tidbits they might not have considered. In the end, the item more or less has built its self, though it is up to you to fill in the details.

J,

If you would like more information regarding the product Golgotha was reviewing, we've also received a solid review on ENWorld.ORG and a complimentary, though not particularly detailed, comment from a person who bought the book:

http://www.rpgnow.com/product_reviews_info.php?products_id=1944&reviews_id=1495&

I apologize, but I cannot currently get to ENWorld.ORG to post a link to the review there. When the site is back up, the review can be found with the "Reviews in the Last Month" link.

Feel free to email us at 'contact@ddggames.com' if you'd like more information.

DDG Games,

My previous statements were aimed at the reviewer, and are in no way intended to be taken with regard to the product he is reviewing.

Thanks for the link - based on that review, if I played D&D I would more likely than not buy this product.

Cheers,

James P

Those are all terrible names. Indiana Jones is redeemed by other factors.

Virginia's not so bad, I suppose.

Regardless, none of this makes Golgotha Kinslayer any better of a name.

"I posted as my real name, James P" Your real last name is P? No wonder you like making fun of other people's names so much. How about instead of trashing someone you don't even know (?) you talk to your parents, "thanks mom & dad for sticking me with such a suck last name as P." You know, for someone who claims to hate the person/game so much, you seem awfully expert. If I didn't know better I might just say that YOU are Golgotha Kinslayer & are just trying to get some sympathy for yourself. "Based on that review, if I played D&D..." You didn't even read the review did you? You just came right here and started mouthing off. It's sad when the first and longest thread for a review doesn't even mention the review itself, except for when that game's creator posts something. Thank you, invisible j/james P(?) for lowering the value of rpg.net.

Yes, Savannah is MY REAL name.

Cool... Thanks for the vote of confidence. Just wanted to weigh in on the topic.

In Kinslayer's defense, his reviews, based on this and other products, seem well informed. I have no information on the RPG system to which you refer, but I personally have respect for him in a product reviewer's capacity.
