Tom Vasel's Summary:
A very good cooperative game, and the (possible) presence of the traitor adds a HUGE fun element to the game. Great components, supports up to seven players, and everyone I've played it with loves it!

How would this play without a traitor? I'm not a big fan of backstabbing games in general and even less in otherwise co-operative games, but otherwise this sounds intriguing. So I was wondering how it would play out if the traitor card was removed entirely from the game?

The game recommends playing the first few games without the traitor, sho it is possible. However, it will effect the "replayability" somewhat like in LotR, in that the traitor adds in a lot of variation. Rather than just beating the board mechanics there is a human element as well.

Playing without the traitor can also allow the game to be played solitaire, though I don't recommend it for excitment.
