That's what it says, free shipping. To anywhere.

Ok, so the books aren't much, but they're free:

D&D 3e PHB. Second printing, so it has a dozen or so pages of bonus material reprinted from Dragon.
D&D 3e DMG. First printing.
AD&D 2e Monster Mythology.

There was another book that just begged to be here, but it was actually interesting enough to end up in Florin's spring cleaning book swap instead, so sorry about that. Oh, and i also have extra copies of HeroQuest, Nobilis and LotR maps, but those aren't free, so they're in another thread.

The PHB is in virgin mint condition - as in, if you picked up a "mint" copy in a store, it would quite possibly be worse than what i've got on my hands here. The DMG has a small scratch or scuff on its cover here or there but the pages inside are mint.

Monster Mythology has an uneven binding (but so do all the other copies of that book that i've ever seen) which makes it a bit difficult to leaf through. For some reason, the first interior page also has a small watermark stamp of the store where it was bought. Weird, i know. Caveat captor.

The rules are simple:

1. At some point in the future (or past) offer a book of your own for free like this. (You don't have to give anyone free shipping, though.)
2. Please be someone who will put them to proper use, as opposed to making a home video about chopping up and burning D&D books.

If you want them, send me a PM and/or make a shout here in the thread.

(Ok, so no, i'm not crazy, and i'm not rich. It's just that i'm really fond of this community and want to do at least a small thing for it. Plus a few individuals here have really treated me very nicely in the past (you know who you are) and i'm not sure i'll ever have an opportunity to return the kindness to them personally, and at least this way i feel like i'm restoring a bit of the karmic balance. Plus i've recently received my first decent salary ever, so i know i won't have to sell a kidney to pay the postage. Plus i can't use PayPal, so i couldn't receive the postage money anyway ;). And it's only three books' postage anyway, so why am i writing this?)

And the PHB is gone. That was fast.

I would like the DMG if you still have it.

Sorry - as i said, all three books are gone. Better luck next time.

(Actually, one is "gone" gone and the other two are spoken for and due out Wednesday. I wish my trade thread went half this well.)

I hear yah on that one. For as many members as this site has, and as many games as there are being played & collected...trades are difficult to create. I have had MUCH more success on WoTC's RPG Marketplace, and it doesnt have a fraction of the traffic that RPG.net does. Oh well.

There's a trade thread? We need to split out some of these forums -- there's too much traffic on each individual forum to keep track of the threads.

I know that when i'm just reading the threads it seems like something is happening all the time, people are PMing each other, trades are being arranged and everybody is one big happy family :). But when you get into doing it, it's just as you say.

WotC marketplace you say? Maybe i should try there too... Maybe after GenCon, when everybody comes home with a bunch of stuff they don't really need. Thanks for the tip!

There's a trade thread?

I shamelessly linked to it in this thread's first post.

I really should let the recipients of Monster Mythology and the DMG know that due to some complications i sent their books a bit later than i said. I'd expect them to arrive around September 8th or 9th.

No problem at all. It's kind of hard to complain when you're getting something for free. :D
