Well, I didn't want you to be tied to the thread watching for mine, and I had no idea how quickly things would move. Anyway, Ghost Rider is indeed the pick. *grins* I needed a 'demonic' character, and the Demon got snatched up. Besides, judging from the dialogue I managed to track down from Rintrah, he's really pretty awesome.

Next will be my 'zombie' pick, who's even more obscure than Rintrah, and then I'll finish off with my 'just plain wierd' pick.

My biggest stumbling block is just whom to use as a villian. I could use a standard supernatural villian, but part of me want to pit this group up against somesort of classic superhero archvillian, just so the character can make comments on how ridiculous this all is.

Yes, I picked Brother Voodoo for my 5th round choice (bottom of page 36). As a background detail, I assumed he'd trained a successor in Haiti, so he was free to be a travelling occult expert and join my team based in Hawaii. But there isn't actually a second Brother Voodoo in the comics, so he's not really eligible as the pick for the International Justice Guardians.

He's a Marvel character, from Haiti, so he sounded like an international team pick. I guess Daz looked at my PM with my 5th round pick, and thought it was yours.

Wow. I didn't think anyone else was after Mystique, or I'd have picked her sooner. To be fair though, you got Wolverine, so I guess we're even :)

I've lost surprisingly few picks so far. I was thinking about taking Martian Manhunter, but he got picked before I got to him, which made my decision for me. That role is now filled by Tommy Monaghan on my team. Batman is the brains, Punisher is the tactician, Mystique is the spy and master of disguise, Quicksilver is the speedster. My next pick will be the team muscle.

Like I said, Mystique doesn't hurt as much as Terrific. I'm overloaded on Marvel women already, I think, so losing her is probably just as well, as Black Widow can fill the same role. Terrific went from afterthought throw-in on my depth chart to central cast member. I definitely should've moved him up at least ahead of Thunder, though I'm not sure now if that would've been early enough. I may have to see if I can work a trade...

There's Forge, if you want a gadgeteer. Hank Pym, for sciences from biochemistry to robotics, plus shrinking fits a stealthy team. The Beast, for a genius biochemist who's very well-read and speaks lots of languages. And none of them are my first choices for my remaining picks.

I pretty much went through the same thought process myself wrt Mr. Terrific - the Liberty Squadron was evolving into a sort of paramilitary/intelligence group, but without any great intelligence gathering skills.

Oh, and wrt Mystique and other "Masters of Disguise," don't forget Nemesis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nemesis_(DC_Comics)), a favorite of mine ever since he had the backup slot in Brave and Bold.

I've got my last two ready to go. Funny thing about being number 11 is that I'm /always/ in the middle.

Still pondering a villian. I've got it narrowed down to about 3, each more ridiculously 4 color than the last.

Could bode ill for my concept that I'm having trouble nailing down the opposition. Think is, I'm picturing a more character driven story than an adventure driven story. Almost Whedonesque, I'm afraid to say.
