By request, the mods are creating this sticky thread, where people can post about which MMORPG games they're playing so that other rpgnetters can find them, and guilds/groups within said games that rpgnetters can join.

If anyone has a previous thread they'd like to have merged *into* this one, PM me with a link to said thread.

For new posts in this thread, please clearly state in your post which MMO game you're referring to, to avoid confusion.

This thread is only for the purpose of helping people find folks to play with on these online games. Any posts making comments on the relative quality of various MMO's to each other should be reported and will be immediately deleted with a warning to the poster. Continued attempts to turn this thread into a "my game is better than your game" or "my guild is better than your guild" will result in a suspension or worse for all parties involved.

People trying to schedule meetings for various games or groups should create new threads specifically for that purpose, to avoid clogging up this sticky thread. To clarify: If your post is something like "I have a City of Villains group on Freedom Server. We're called Wolfpack Sentai SamuRaiger. This is a list of our membership requirements and an idea of what kind of RP we do. This is a list of some of the people/characters in our group so far. We usually meet on alternate mondays" -- that's kosher. If you post says, "I want to schedule a meeting of all members of SamuRaiger for this coming monday so we can plan to run this big set of missions together, new members welcome" -- that should go in a seperate thread in OGO.

The most common MMO's discussed on RPGnet tend to be City of Heroes, City of Villains, World of Warcraft, and EVE Online, but all MMO games are free to be discussed and posted about here, as long as said posts conform to the general forum rules.

It's on the North American Kirin Tor server, horde-side. From a RPing standpoint, we're a new, upstart mercenary outfit looking to make a name for ourselves. Check tread for more details and roster.

COH/Test Server: The Portal Jockeys (http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?t=237035) - This is a cross-server SG, allowing players from different servers to come together using the Test Server and Player Transfer. This will be a SG that meets infrequently, hopefuly once a month or so, so all RPG.net players can get together with their favorite toons and have a big outing of some sort. Check thread for group details, how to get the test server and your character transferred over to it, and for planned outings.

The Royal Family (and evil counterpart The Crime Family) a team run by RPGnet's own Jack. The only requirements are that the character have the last name Royal (or Crime for villains), and if possible wear the team's Crown emblem (villains have the demon mask emblem). Two families of heroes and villains, basically.

Shugokyu Sentai GaiaRanger is a whimsical take on Japanese sentai (or Power Ranger) shows. There's a team uniform design, and your name must be "Gaia" followed by the name of a gemstone or mineral (like GaiaJet), and your uniform must be of colors matching said gemstone, with the secondary color usually (but not always) being white. Lots of goofy battle cries and poses.

Wolfpack Sentai SamuRaiger is the darker rival team to GaiaRanger on CoV. There is a team uniform, and your name must be "SamuRaiger (Color)", and your uniform should correspond to that color. There are some exceptions, like SamuRaiger Embers, and SamuRaiger Stone, but generally color is the way to go. Much more serious RP (when we bother to RP at all), and sinister in tone.

The Young Paragons is a large group of RPGnetters playing teen superheroes. Lots of teen angst, some lighthearted, some very serious, leaning more towards the latter. LOTS of active characters in this one over all level ranges. The Praetorian Legion is the CoV "evil twin" version of the Young Paragons, where we all play evil versions of each other's YP characters. This just got started, so there's lots of room for new characters here.

Flanna's already described the Inappropriates -- the Intolerables are the evil equivalent -- basic rules, don't be an asshole to your fellow players. The RP for the intolerables tends to get pretty surreal and goofy, and for whatever reason, we've ended up with a plethora of gold-scaled reptile people in the team (a trend started by Dr. Nuncheon's "Tuaterror". My ice corruptor Hibernia is TT's violently psychotic and amusingly delusional "kid sister").

Justice Force is an old established SG on Virtue, and is not run by RPGnetters. A few folks on RPGnet have characters in their ranks, and they know of RPGnet. They're light-to-medium RP, and do require some semi-regular activity with the group. If you're interested in joining them, go to their website (www.justiceforce.com) and ask for an "interview" -- basically, their way of making sure you're not a spastic asshole. :) Some folks on RPGnet can also give you a referral.

On WoW, which I just started, I have been playing on Kirin Tor and am looking at creating a couple new alts on Proudmoore. Not really...

There's the Young Paragons and Inappropriates on the hero-side, and the Uncanny Legion (on Triumph) on the villain-side. (Plugplugplug :D)

And there's been a fair number of 'theme' groups, like the ninja group and the Magical Girl Alliance. They tend not to last very long, though.

Hey all,

I want to pop this here because I need help. My small Horde-side WoW guild is hurting. I know many of you play on Kirin Tor- but I am hoping someone out there is looking for a smaller guild out there to help out. Basically, we need a tank or two.

We are a casual guild that is filled almost exclusively with adults. We are very exclsuive about who we recruit and only like to grab people we trust. Therein lies the rub- we are desperate for warriors that can fit in with us. Basically, we are not a hard-core raiding guild nor are we a good fit for people that curse heavily and piss/moan at every battle. we are pterry laid back and enjoy the game and the little community we have created.

Out of 20 active players we only have 1 full-time warrior and 2 semi-active warriors. This means we have some difficulty planning instances as we simply do not have enough tanks. I am the GM- so I can assure you of an invite if you are interested.

If, by chance, you are looking for a guild and have a tank (warrior or druid) and want to find a casual guild- Feel free to ask for an invite. We would be an especially good fit if you like to tank but dont get enough time with your current guild (or are simply looking to get more tanking time). We will throw all sorts of work your way.

Bring your tauren, orcs, trolls, and forsaken- you will be greatly appreciated. Feel free to roll up a warrior or druid on Eitrigg... we will be happy to power-level you.

Second Life

My avatar is Ignatius Proost and he's the founder of the Second Life Chapter of the Order of the Keetoom (http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?p=6457115#post6457115).

It's currently not very active (to say the least) and is more a way of recognizing RPGnetters in the Lindenverse than anything else. Holy crap, I'm back?!

Um...a little over a year ago I was playing Venilin (the Trollaladin? The man with the Sparkling Mineral Water contract? Up to his ass in bear-asses? There ya go!) with Blacksky on Kirin Tor, but had to take a break to focus on work and moving. I've been getting a bit of an urge to play WoW again, so I logged in to the accounts page to see what my account status was. Apparently, I never deactivated my account. This means:

1) I'm a retard
2) I'm really going to come back

I'm probably going to start a new warrior on the alliance side (check out these new Draeni, re-learn how-to-play)...is there still a decently active RPGnet guild on alliance? Blacksky was awesome and I'm looking for something like that.
