This is exactly the sort of advice they're supposed to put in RPG rulebooks, but never do. Oh no, it's all "intricate plots spanning a campaign", the bastards. I don't know how many games I've mismanaged into the ground before I even began to figure out these sorts of things, so hopefully you've saved a few neophyte GMs from the same fate.

I must sheepishly admit that I've taken quite a few lumps in my time, too. Pretty much all of the advice I doled out was earned the hard way!
