It was widely reported by Mr. Valterra that he left WOTC BECAUSE these changes were coming down the pike and he was hoping to release the BOEF before the changes were implemented. He was opposed to the changes (by his account). The changes were decided long before he formed his company. Regardless of the BOEF or The Valar Project, WOTC would of implemented the “quality standards”.
Just wanted to point that out as the popular misconception is a tad damaging to his reputation and is simply not true. You can search his news announcements on EN World and Gaming Report to verify my statement (and HIS more importantly).
I liked your article – I don’t agree with your comments about the BOEF, however I respect your opinion and I like your writing style. I will check back and see what pops up. ;-)
