They bug me no end. I hate coming out to my car and finding that someone "littered" on my windshield. They make me almost certain to take my business elsewhere.

But if it's an effective advertising strategy, how much of a minority am I in?

Yeah, I know what you mean.

But I have to confess one or two times, I've ripped one off my windshield and screamed, "Mother fucking son of a ....hey, I've been looking for a new gaming store/chimney cleaner/lawn service/whatever".

Those flyers are like "bricks and mortar pop-up ads" - they will irritate the vast majority of those who encounter them, but they are SO cheap and SO easy that you only need a tiny number of hits to make them worthwhile.

Kinda sucks, doesn't it.

Actually, our Windshield Fliers Read:
"There's No Better Way to Get Someone's ATTENTION,
or Tick Someone Off, than stick a flier on their
Windshield. But, hey, we're going to do it anyways...."

HEHE, The windshield flyers are annoying - I agree. I was reluctant to do it. But, we actually had people walking over TO us as we put them out, asking for one!

We also had over 200 NEW customers come in for the first time, flyer in hand, to get the special offered.

So - if we pissed some people off: Good! At least they know we are here. Previous to that, nobody knew we existed!

I agree. I don't like people touching my stuff without my permission, that includes my vehicle. If you don't own it, don't touch it.
