[MMO] Free Trial/Beta Thread

Okay - I think we had one of these before, and it's buried under heaps and heaps of worthier content. If you should run across a "Play (insert name) free for (x-many) days!" ad or offer, post it here. Date it also, so new people won't get too excited about seeing an offer that was made a year ago ^_^

Perhaps in a format like this?

Since I'm sure many of us are always itching to look at, if not try, something new, this might be a good way to go about it. Also, if someone's been curious about a game for a while, you might give them the chance to play they've been looking for. Or give them a chance to hook a friend, even!

Does anyone know if EVE Online has a free trial period of any kind? All this talk in the other thread sparked my interest in it, and I was considering giving it a try. Also, how difficult is it to start out in this game? Extreme learning curves tend to annoy me... I would prefer not to spend hours running around aimlessly accomplishing absolutely nothing :o

The client itself for WoW is still available for download, you just need a key of some sort, like the one from the guest pass.

There is a lot to learn in Eve Online. Its a deep, deep slow burner of an MMO. If you're looking for a quick fix it might not be your cup of tea. Having said that there is always people willing to help with Questions. Eves community is pretty friendly towards new players, you won't get any "lol, j00 iz a n00b lol" just for asking questions.

No trial code needed for Hero Online (http://hero.netgame.com/). Don't go into this expecting a lot of customization to your character. There are 4 character models, 2 male and 2 female. After that, there are 4 professions available after you hit 10th level.

It's a fun game, especially if you consider it to be more of a Chinese Diablo as opposed to a regular MMORPG. Aside from that, it can be quite fun laying out ass whooping to enemies in it.

Big thing being, it is free and it is gorgeous.
