Great column - I keep wanting to do something with the underground cities in my various WoD games (if for no other reason than to have an unwary band of Hunters come across centuries-old starving Cappadocian vamps, not to mention all the fun things the Nosferatu keep uncovering), and this has given me something more to think about.

Yeah really excellent column. Reminds me of when I went into the Pyramids of Egypt. The first thing that struck me was how claustrophobic it was, having to move around crouched all the time.

Not running D+D at present, but cramped confines underground are definitely something I will work into my next WFRP game now.

Awesome, I'm glad it's interesting for more than just me!

And yeah, the Pyramids and the crouching were also a part of this that I didn't get into (I'll probably talk more about them when I do my "temples and other giant monuments built to last for all time" episode here.
