So, from what little I know about the 'facts' you refer to in this column, and your response to other posts regarding the 'Knightmare Tic-Tac-Toe', this article is a conglomeration of dis-information. Am I reading this right?

Or, maybe, like the cunning devil you are, you've collected dis-information from other sources, and compiled and posted it here, to make a point about originality...

Or maybe I'm reading waaay too much into this.

Hi,

Personally, I think that adding a random element to an ideal tactical game (chess, wherein both players possess perfect information and, in theory, it is solvable) and applying it to a different ideal tactical game (tic-tac-toe, which is highly deterministic because of the very tiny probability space for movement) is just, well, wacky.

So what was the point of the column? Err...

1) A column was due, I wrote it, end of story?
2) Spot the original tales that got twisted! Earn valuable industry points!
3) Realize the point of the column was actually opposite to what it said, and that the presented case histories (real, not as presented) support that.
4) That farce is sometimes worth doing 'just because'.

Cheers,
Sandy
