Yeah, except that I key the R and F with my left index finger.

"Yeah, except that I key the R and F with my left index finger."
I assumed that was bleed off from the middle finger (i.e. the index finger got blood on it from the cut on the middle finger). I figured this more likely that getting blood from the index finger onto the middle finger, since your middle finger is usually longer and typically is held a little higher in a standard typing position.

Good logic, but it also depends on if Sandy knows touch-typing or is a search-and-destroy typist.
And I know a semi-professional writer/retired college prof who is a S&D typist at 80 wpm...

I agree with your diagnosis. I was just confused about the F & R.
I wondered if I'd been doing it wrong all these years. At 40 or so WPM (probably a lot higher now, but I haven't timed myself since highschool), That would have been a lot of incorrect keystrokes. :)

some touch typist do actually use left middle finger to type r and f. All though uncomfortable to me my husband does so regularly. This is my theory at least. :)
