I too have a bit of experience in this industry, from working the fringe beat (writing reviews for sites that folded after 3 days) to being the head author of an award winning game (a supplement for a fringe RPG that got an editors pick from a French magazine), and someone currently discussing projects with Bruce Baugh (begging him to please, please, please let me write for Nobilis, and I'll clean his feet if he does) and John (the guy at the local book store, who wants to do an article in Dungeon with me).

Given all that, I think that I have more than enough experience (at making things up) to say that this was really an outstanding bit of work (I'm sucking up cause RPG.net gives me free books).

As someone who had his first review published on RPG.net in, IIRC, 1997 and has sold a grand total of 2 reviews to Pyramid (for a whopping $50), I'm very proud to be able to put "Freelance Writer 1997-present" on my resume.

I just deflect questions about how much I was paid, and don't even mention RPG.net's policy of accepting all reviews.
