How difficult is it to just round up one or more GMs at a con and have them do some blind testing for you? If the adventure was really good, you might inspire some of the players in the demo game to do it.

I've never been to a con in the US and don't know how things work there, but I think it would be possible to get volenteers at a con over here. Especially if the adventure was written free form or for D20 or some other major system.

Hi,

Well, for an adventure due in a month, the Con solution is out. But your idea has merit, if you (say) write a batch of adventures then hope to test them at a Con.

Still, finding spare GMs at a Con is usually difficult, because most US cons get planned way in advance. You can find players last-minute, or GMs last-minute, but finding _both_ is really tough. You'd have to schedule in advance to fill.

I've had trouble filling adventures at Cons, even being in the advanced program book, when the game wasn't for D&D or WW but instead was for a 'minor' game system. Not filling is a drag when you're there to run a game, but would suck even more if you were relying on the Con as a playtest.

Cheers,
Sandy
