Converted from Phorums BB System

This might not be true for everyone, but I've found a lot of success in running a two-hour gaming session once each week.
Just about all of my players can scrape together two measly hours to play, and really, it works well because instead of saying we're going to play for four hours and really BS'ing for two of those hours, we focus intensely on two solid hours of quality gametime.
It's been my experience that people today have an optimal two hour attention span for entertainment like gaming, and I think that its because of the movies. Most movies clock in at around 90 minutes to two hours.
Also, two-hour sessions work well for me as a GM. I can generally plot out the session during the week with little effort, and come to play with the next chapter of our storyline complete.
Anyway, again, this might not be true for every gaming group. My group is small (two players, and myself) and my players are both remarkable roleplayers.
Still, if you want to play every week, you might want to give this a go.
Thanks for a wonderful article-I really enjoyed it, by the way.
