Arcane and divine magic are essentially the same except for their spell lists. I'd like to see them be very different. One option I've considered but never worked out is to adapt an idea from <A href="http://sorcerer-rpg.com/">Sorcerer</A> by Ron Edwards: clerics have one or more supernatural (but demanding!) companions sent from their chosen deities, and all clerical magic is derived from these spirits.
