Converted from Phorums BB System

This 4th ed looks a lot in fact like many D&D clones from the 1980s. The added value doesn't seem there.

Variety of choice, global consistancy with mechanics from previous editions and new gimmicks per levels gained are the core of D20.

Without that, it's just another fantasy rpg!

I covered all those areas in last month's column. The readers wanted more change so I threw some ideas out. The 2d10 idea didn't go over well with many readers, but a radical change rarely does.

I'm going to compliment No2 in the next paragraph and I don't want anyone to accidently think I'm being sarcastic. I honestly appreciated his response and feedback and want to express that more fully.

You disagree with my 4th edition and then offered useful suggestions on what you would want to see in 4th edition. Your type of criticism is very helpful to me as both a part-time writer and game designer. Thank you for the polite and well thought out rebuttal. I appreciate it.
