Converted from Phorums BB System
The damage save rule as presented in M&M works, for the most part. The damage save from Unearthed Arcana is fine on the surface (and at low levels) but I integrated it in to play with a 10th-14th level campaign and found that it didn't work very well at all, either to simplify record keeping, render realistic results, or even to help with the flow of combat. M&M pulls it off because the mechanics are more tightly balanced, I think, allowing for some more control, but the UA version needs work.
Other than that, yeah, sounds like a great non-D&D style game that I'd love to play...;-)
