Ok, so with any luck, we can make this our first sticky....
we have a forum now folks. And we're LARPers... and unlike those silly Table Top folks... we as a general rule (though not always) are more than happy to bring new players and welcome new folks into our ongoing games. No maximum player limit here!
So, the idea is simple. If you play in a Larp or ST one, and you know the game would welcome new players: post about it! Usual Time, Usual Place, Venue, and Contact Info.
Here, I'll start (with a lot):
Game: Book of Ashes. Venue: oWoD Mage. Usual Time: One Friday/month, variable (check website) Usual Place: University of Maryland, College Park.
Contact info: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/BookOfAshes/?yguid=191057990
Comments: Small mostly homegrown Mage game-- currently about 20 or so player characters.
Game: Capitol Rage. Venue: oWoD Werewolf. Usual Time: First and Third Saturdays. Usual Place: Staffort, VA.
Contact info: http://www.rage.quietmuse.net/forum
Comments: LARGE Garou game. I would say it's the flagship game of OWbN Garou. 40+ players average, at least two event games where we get together even more with visiting characters from other OWbN games. ST Staff with a cumulative century worth of Storytelling (no joke, game has plenty of people in thier 30's who play)
Game: Requiem for Vitae. Venue: nWoD Vampire: Usual Time: Saturday/Friday (Once monthly, see contact info) Usual Place: Savage, MD Contact Info: www.dcindarkness.org
Comments: Great game with a great site. Play spooky vampires in a spooky ex-church turned gathering hall, just a short jaunt from a mall converted from an old mill with plenty of ghost stories. Not OWbN, not Camarilla, but part of the DCinDarkness mini-org-- game has two sister games, one in Centreville, VA (Old Dominion) and one in DC proper.
I've got more where those came from....

I play in the following games:
Depths of Dreams (http://depthsofdreams.clsenterprises-sd.com/) which is a Changeling game in San Diego. We meet in Balboa Park on the first Saturday of the month. It's a very dark mystery focused game, heavy on the politics. I play a Sidhe Knight, Orlando Demetrius, who basically has the worst luck ever.
Butcher and Poet (http://www.freewebs.com/butcherandpoet/intro.html) is the other Changeling LARP I'm in. It meets on second Saturdays. It's a more lighthearted commoner based game, a bit more action oriented. (But it's just started.) I play a Boggan Journalist, Da Chaz, who is very hyper and into conspiracy theories.
I also occasionally play in The Silicon City Masquerade (http://www.scmasquerade.com) in Campbell. (That's near San Jose.) Whenever I'm in the area. It's a medium sized Vampire LARP (Masquerade) which has been running for three years now, though most characters aren't that old. It's a pretty fun game, which I visit when I get a chance.

I organise the Mordavia (http://www.mordavia.com) dark fantasy live combat campaign in Auckland, New Zealand. We have a very friendly and rather large community and are always keen for new players, crew, and GMs.
I also play in larps organised by the New Zealand Live Action Roleplaying Society (http://www.nzlarps.org) (nzLARPS). It's an incorporated society that fosters live roleplaying in New Zealand by lending funding, equipment and advice to larp projects. The website is due to be expanded soon (just a holding page for now), but the society is active and can be interacted with on Diatribe (www.diatribe.co.nz), the New Zealand larp hangout.
(EDIT) Oh, and I sell latex weapons in New Zealand as Paddywhack Productions Ltd (http://www.paddywhack.co.nz).

Our first game is going to be held in Long Beach Ca at Cal State Long Beach at 8:00 pm on saturday starting May 27th 2006. Our charater creation is May 13th. I'm playing in Revolutionary Dreams (http://dboston.dreamhost.com/changeling.html), the Boston branch of the Cam's Changeling game. I've only been in one session, but it seems like a game centered on struggling against Banality (as the changelings spend much of their time hunkered in their freehold, fighting off against the forces- metaphorical and literal- of Winter).

Duly does his duty and pimps SINERGY (http://www.sinergylarp.com/)
A long-running cyberpunk game that's currently based in Leicester and runs monthly October-December and February - June on the first Sunday of the month.
Last session of the year is next month, time in is about 6-6.30pm and we normally run for anything up to four hours depending on bodies.
Next season we intend to kick off in October with a newbie night with only starting level characters.
I'm now focusing on reffing and development, but I did play a eunuch mercenary mounted policeman whose high point was being in a love polygon with: the Madame of the largest brothel in Europe, an especially militant priest/solo and a net entity whose avatar was the chaved up version of Gollum.
And this all seemed entirely natural at the time.
Easiest way to make contact is through the message boards, or via my email:

I'm getting ready to run an Obsidian LARP (http://www.twilight-games.com/obsidian.shtml) in Milwaukee. It will be a once a month event with a variety of character options...
The primary plot points will be centered around an illegal fight club/arena. This will allow lots of different characters to enter the story (even if you aren't fighting you can get in on the gambling, favor trading, equipment service/sales and general social/gossip scene).
I ran a one shot of this game at GenCon last year that went well, so we'll be picking up some of the storyline based off that.

Kingdoms of Novitas (http://mvgc.net/larp/)
A boffer-style fantasy LARP located in Central New York (closest to Utica, Syracuse, and a short drive from Oswego, Albany, Ithaca, Binghamton, Rochester etc.)
Events run the first full weekend (Fri-Sat-Sun) of April, May, June, September, October, and November. There is also a yearly February feast.
There is a great mixture of roleplaying, combat, and puzzle solving. There is a niche for just about every type of player.
We have a great facility with multiple cabins and bunks for our town and a sizeable amount of woodland trails.

I'm in a monthly D&D LARP here in Sydney that I'm enjoying - details here (http://s13.invisionfree.com/SincityLARP/). Games run on the 3rd Saturday of every month, normally in Rozelle - see the website for all the info.
It's a nice mix of combat (Resolved with D&D rules) and talky investigative stuff. And there's pirates. Well, I'm playing one. :D

I co-run Vampire: the Requiem in Cambridge (England). It's Camarilla, but as far as I can tell, rumours of Camarilla awfulness are greatly exaggerated. Our branch is relatively non-yucky, anyway. Cambridge Treasure Trap (http://www.srcf.ucam.org/tt/), Cambridge University, UK, runs every Friday evening during Michaelmas and Lent terms and the first four weeks of Easter term. I will be on the ref team next year, and I'm running this year's Third-Year Goodbye Adventure - a weekend event where the whole society gets together and gives a party of retiring PCs the best damn LARP experience they can. There are about 20 of us, and we're very friendly and not evil at all, really.

Well, only one of the games I'm involved in running is currently open for new players... It's a Dark Ages: Vampire LARP using Faith & Fire (MET) and a few house rules, and runs third saturday of every month in the West London area.
We do prefer people to contact the STs first and discuss things with them before turning up, so they can decide if they're going to like our style of play or not, and so we can get an idea of how to bring them into the game and get them involved from the outset.
Game website (http://www.darkages.runnymede.camarilla.org.uk/)
PMing me here would probably count as contacting an ST, and I'll pass on more details.
Edit: Oh, and despite the Camarilla UK web address, we're an independant game. It's just that our local game webserver also happens to be the CamUK webserver and we've never gotten around to getting a new URL sorted. nothing against CamUK (I used to run games in it), we just didn't want this game to be in it!

Game: Cracks in the Marble. Venue: nWoD Requiem. Usual Time: Alternating Thursdays (Twice Monthly). Usual Place: Alumni House of George Washington University. Contact info: www.dcindarkness.org
Comments: Great game, very political with very little combat. 20-35 regular players. The site is excellent, its an old house with antique furniture with a huge outdoor patio. The game has 2 sister games in case you absolutely need more Requiem fun.

Cthulhu Live: The Ageless
Kettle of Fish Productions presents "The Ageless", a mind-rending
tale of interactive horror called up from the pages of H. P.
Lovecraft.
In 1894 eccentric British Lord Arthur Leftbridge acquired an
archeological curiosity known only as Bowen's Sarcophagus, a
misshapen sandstone box once owned by the infamous Professor Enoch
Bowen. Gathering a cadre of experts, intelectuals and occultists, Sir
Arthur Leftbridge prepared to open the long sealed sarcophagus. But
of those who dared to look within, who would live to see the dawn?
When: July 29th at 8pm
Where: Norfolk Virginia (game location and directions to be sent to
participants by e-mail)
For further information contact Keeper William Thrasher at

I also play in Always Comes Evening, http://www.alwayseve.org, which is a long running OWBN game in San Francisco. I'd recommend it if you like political games, but it can be rather slow, and there is almost never combat.

RE-PIMP
Runnymede Dark Ages Vampire
I've pimped this lightly up thread, but our recruiting status has changed a bit... so I'm repimping it now.
Game Website (http://www.darkages.runnymede.camarilla.org.uk/)
(Please note - it is a CamUK address, but we are not a CamUK game. The reason for the URL is because the CamUK webserver is actually owned by a bunch of our local players and CamUK uses it. We've just been a bit crap at sorting out a new address for a bunch of reasons.)
We're based just outside of the western edge of London in the Egham area. We're open to new players after some discussion with the ST team - we prefer for people to not just turn up on game night and expect to play. The ST team can be contacted at darkagesst@eggbox.org.uk to discuss characters, backgrounds and the like.
House rules, game background, premise and other information can be found on the website. Barring a couple of house rules that have not yet made it to the website, we use oWoD MET rules as presented in Faith and Fire unless otherwise stated.
House rules not yet detailed on the website include:
Potence & Obtenebration combinations - limited and using a discipline technique that must be learned and bought with XP.
Nosferatu Repugnant traits clarification - Can be called if the one calling them is aware of them and it's relevant, even if they are currently hidden with obfuscate.
We greatly encourage player led plotting and scheming, although we do also run ST led plotlines which are designed to be completely open to player involvement. We do have NPCs in the game, and several are in positions of power - we have our reasons and are happy to discuss these if necessary.
If you're interested, get in touch.
[Edit:] Oh, we run on the third saturday of every month and our usual venue is about half an hour's walk from the nearest railway station. Games cost £3, but your first one is usually free if you've talked to us first.

Comments: Small mostly homegrown Mage game-- currently about 20 or so player characters.
Modified MET? I'd be interested in learning more. I ran a oWoD Mage LARP for a while, but became increasingly fed up with how outright bad MET is. I spent a lot of time designing a new system from the ground up, but never got a new LARP started. I'd be interested in hearing your version.

Should have done this the first time around, but I am one of the directors of Forest of Doors (http://www.forestofdoors.com/), an Atlanta (Georgia) based boffer LARP.
The game is heroic fantasy (meaning PvP violence is discouraged) with a healthy dose of whimsy and steampunk. Rules our own devising, and probably quite a bit different from most boffer games out there.
We just finished up our first season, which started last June, and we start back again with full schedule this March. I'd love to get some RPGnetters out for the game, so check it out!

September 29, 2007; COSI – Columbus, Ohio
Tales of The Brassy’s Men
The Secret of Atlantis
The year is 1877. Queen Victoria presides over an Empire spanning the globe. But this is not the 1877 of our world. Great airships travel between London, Berlin, Cairo, even to New York. The sewers below London hold all manner of foul beast. And strange magics are whispered of in back alleys, even as the church condemns their use. This is the world of Brassy’s Men.
The Secret of Atlantis is a four hour, 30 player event written by Brassy’s Men GM Mike Young (with a lot of help from the other GMs, too). It will have the same high degree of production values and character interaction that players have come to expect from the Brassy’s Men campaign.
This is an entirely standalone game. No knowledge or experience in the Brassy’s Men campaign is needed to play.
The majority of characters will be pregenerated, but players may play their campaign characters for an additional fee. Because it is set in an alternate universe version of Brassy’s, players may even play characters who have died or become unplayable during the campaign.
Why Columbus, Ohio? There is a venue in Columbus that is, well, kick-ass. You will believe you are in a submersible vehicle and you will believe you are in Atlantis. The venue is a touch pricey, so we have to charge $45-$55 to cover expenses. We are not price gouging; we will not make money on this event.
We will have a block of rooms reserved in a nearby hotel and are working on activities for people during the day Saturday. These activities will include dinner before the event on Saturday, and a dead dog party after the event. Participation in said activities will cost extra.
Who is Mike Young and why should I pay $45 to play his LARPs? Mike Young has been running LARPs for over 17 years. The Brassy’s Men campaign is one of the most popular in the DC area, bringing in players from Florida, Massachusetts, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Washington state. Mike is an award-winning game designer, and has had LARPs published in magazines, online, and even as standalone modules in books. You can get a preview of Mike’s work at http://www.interactivitiesink.com. Mike sez: If I didn’t think I could provide you with $45 worth of LARP entertainment, I wouldn’t even try to run the game.
Note: We reserve the right to reject characters from the campaign that would not work well in the game setting. You will have the decision to play a pregenerated character (and get $10 back) or get a full refund.
For more information on the world of Brassy’s Men, visit http://www.interactivitiesink.com/larps/brassy or send a private message to me here.
The game will use a simplified version of the Rules to Live By system which does use dice. Additional game mechanics will be used to take advantage of the COSI exhibit in which the game will be run.

Well, it's not my game, but I'm going to pimp it anyway:
Exalted: Scarlet Dynasty
A friend of mine is starting an Exalted: Scarlet Dynasty LARP in the West London / North Surrey area in the UK (Egham area, to be exact), starting in the first weekend in March.
So far it's looking to be a fantastic mix of social RP, politics and intrigue combined with things to investgate and fights to win.
The ST (known hereabouts as A Quiet Person) has a long track record of running well respected games both tabletop and LARP, having been an AST or DST within the Runnymede domain of CamUK for rather a long time back in the oWoD days.
There's a bit more more information and a contact on the games website:
http://www.eggbox.org.uk/larp/dragonblooded/
(please excuse the unfinished nature of the website - I've rushed it up a bit before it's ready so that he's got somewhere for this information to go... It'll get tidied soon, I promise!)
There's also a thread on this very forum (http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?t=310880) which I expect the ST is keeping an eye on.
System is to be card based, using a lightly tweaked version of the TT rules. Houserules might well appear in play as issues become apparent.

I participate in several games in the SoCal area.
Live Effects currently runs three active games:
Wyrd of Avalon is a fantasy game set outside the mystical city of Avalon in the time of King Arthur.
Beyond the Veil is a dark fantasy game with a heavy emphasis on faction-based roleplaying.
ApocaLARP is a post apocalyptic sci-fi game. Zombies! Rob could tell you more about this one.
All three games have a forum here: http://www.onlineeffects.net
The games run from the San Fernando Valley down to the Orange County area in California. We'll occasionally run events in Big Bear and other parts of California as well.
