First, thanks to whoever is responsible for putting this wiki in place. It's just awesome!

Anyway, yeah, I got a project to pimp, Meamnar (http://wiki.rpg.net/index.php/Meamnar:Main_Page).

Unlike a lot of the other homebrew stuff out there, this one is a pure, classic, old-school fantasy campaign setting made for d20. There's elves and dragons and orcs and all of that. It's that way for two reasons:

- I can use a lot of material out there without much rework. Case in point are the free downloadable Adventures (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/oa/20030530b) available at WotC's site (http://www.wizards.com).
- It's easier to make everything fit together like the mighty jigsaw puzzle that it is.

Of course, the first goal is just plain laziness (and some appreciation for the fine work that's out there). The second is (hopefully) the main appeal of the setting, though. It's my intention that the whole world 'works' together. You're not just saving the village from the orc horde that came out of nowhere. There are characters and plots and backgrounds and an ebb and flow to everything. It's not static, and the players won't be asking why this particular orc horde just happened to start harassing that particular village right when the PC's got there. That's the goal anyway.

So... I'll be throwing a lot of material in there in upcoming days and weeks. Feel free to contribute, comment, or simply just use.

And thanks again for a place to put this. It's a small prayer answered.
