As I noted in the column, I wrote it before I left for GenCon Indy. Now that I'm home, here's the rest of the story. :)

Faery's Tale had a tremendous debut. We broke all previous sales records for Firefly Games, selling 100+ copies of the game over the course of the show. We sold out of custom faery and dark faery dice early Sunday. We handed out hundreds of intro packs and company flyers - so many we had to keep going back to run more copies. We heard from a number of customers that someone had recommended Faery's Tale to them - and met several folks who'd read about it on RPGnet - so the game seems to be generating some good industry buzz.

Now it's time to order some more dice and get back to work on the expansions to the game. :)

Glad to hear that Patrick! When I read this column, I kept thinking "Whoah, that guy sure knows his way around the industry" and apparently that paid off :)

The name "Lewis-MacDougall" somehow seemed familiar and after some investigation (read: googling) I know why: she's the wife of Larry MacDougall, who I still owe some Essence for his excellent Wraith illustrations...

Patrick,

Congratulations on the Gen-Con success!

One question: where's the intro pack (mentioned in the column as online) on the Firefly web site? I'm not finding it, and I'd love to run the Tournament scenario for some friends this Friday night.

Best,

Rob

Oops! We actually did not get the intro pack up before we left for GenCon. Check again later tonight - we are working on it now and I'll post the link to the front page as soon as it's ready. Sorry for the mixup.

Thanks for the quick response, Patrick. I only asked b/c an eager search of the site turned up nothing, and I really wanted to see the intro pack!

Best,

Rob
