Looks like we got a new series of Numbers Spams... and, once again, whoever does it does two spams to the same page in quick succession, which means we can't just do a simple rollback.
I'm in the middle of trying to clean 'em up, but some notes:
1) Everyone, CHECK YOUR PAGES! Clean out any and all random numbers you see. I still don't know what they want to accomplish with them, but for safety's sake, let's clean them out completely. Please note that if the last edit is by me--which it is for a lot of pages--that probably means I de-spammed the page at some point (see #3 below).
2) For some reason, the link that Shannon gave me so I could repair the search index when necessary no longer points to anything... and the index desperately needs repairing, because just about any query or edit returns that damn "Database Error" message. (Shannon: was this intentional, and if not, can I get a new link?)
3) Just as a note: I try to keep spam off the Wiki. Every day (almost) I check the Recent Changes, check out suspicious edits, block spammers, and remove any spam that I see.
One thing, though: I don't have access to the machine itself. It's in a whole other state. I access it through the web. Similarly, I don't have access to the Wiki's guts, just its pages. But, I do what I can.
(Shannon: a couple suggestions... perhaps put "^\d+$" or a variant in the spam regex? Also, could put something in the Spamprotectiontext (the reply when something's blocked)--maybe some old Gaelic curses, or just piles of swearwords, or some creative insults? :) )
