I've got my headset mic. I've got Vent up and running, and I've joined the RPG.net Guild server. Now how do I get this thing to work? I want to set it up so that I hear voices out of my headset and the gam audio from my speakers.

The obvious way of doing that - Going into Setup and choosing the Input/Output devices don't seem to be doing much. Aesir tried doing an audio test and I heard nothing.

I'm using a Logitech USB headet.

To do this would require two audio devices to be installed on your system. Having never used a USB headset before... does it act act as its own audio device (for the purposes of DirectSound) or does it use your exisiting card?

It does, if it's USB.

FWIW, I have to set my settings to NOT use directsound for the outbound device for the headset to work properly, but the incoming sound I do use it. No hardware input mixer.
