I've waited (not too terribly) patiently since the 16th, when it was (apparently, there hasn't been an update on the website) delayed a week. It's been a week. The website still hasn't been updated. Where's m'damned book?

It is between Earth and Jupiter. :)
The PDF is supposed to be available this weekend. The printed books should be following sometime after.

RAR! It'd be nice if this information was made available anywhere other than the mailing list.

I got the information from a post on EnWorld. I believe GMS is banned from RPG.net and so he could not post an update here.

Is he banned from his own website? THAT still claims Mars is coming out on the 16th.

Well he can be abrasive at times. Maybe he banned himself from his website. :)

Keep in mind he is probably printing the book through Lulu, even if he doesn't advertise that. He might be delaying until some of those hard copies get printed before he puts up the PDF. It takes Lulu a minimum of 10 days to print hard copies, and 2-3 days to print paperbacks.

Y'know, it's funny, but I can see him actually doing that.
"I don't like that tone of your post, take 2 weeks off!"
"But...I thought we were in agreement!"
"Three weeks!"

Just bumping this to see if anyone who ordered a copy of Mars has actually gotten their print copy yet.

I received mine... on Saturday the 7th, I believe. I've already got one guy in my group who wants to play it, even though we're booked through the summer for games.

I'll assume you are in the U.S. What part of the country may I ask?

Sorry to derail the thread a bit (but not wildly) but what exactly IS Mars?
I gather it's a new RPG using d20 but.... what?
What is the overall theme of it? I can't really seem to find that much information about it via google.

Oh, thanks! I thought that was the main product page and I wasn't cool with buying it to see what it was on about ;)
Ok... that's pretty much rad, I like the ideas very much. Flash Gordon on Marrrrssss!
The one line in the intro got me best though:
a Mars where a trek across the dry sea bottoms can yield amazing discoveries
Trek across dry sea bottoms... how freakin' cool is that?
The only thing is that the cover looks like it should say DUNE instead of MARS but I would probably cry like some kind of obsessive if it did.
Dune? Try a mixture of Barsoom with Well's Mars (plus some other stuff I haven't read and thus not getting the references to).
I am still waiting for the HC.

I got an email from GMS regarding Mars (after emailing him asking what was up).
The softcovers went out around a week and a half ago, while some of the hardcovers went out today and the rest will go out tomorrow. Lulu just took a while longer to print the hardcovers, which I gather wasn't expected by Adamant.

I live in San Francisco, and I got my softcover yesterday.
Very nice, nicely bound, nicely printed.
More than a few proofreading flaws, but you already saw them in the PDF, so that's no great suprize.
On the whole, I'm very happy with my copy.

No, no -- you are right.
The cover doesn't give any feel that this game is of the "planetary romance" genre. A very boring, flat shot of sand.
It's not the end of the world anything -- it's just not a cover that sells books, IMO.
