I noticed a large increase in readers of both of my Crisis of Faith columns. I was just curious if anyone was willing to share what made those two columns so interesting. I'm quite willing to look at covering new topics.
Thanks,
Charlie

Charles,
It sounded like you and your players were having a great time in this latest setting, and that the TPK was an unfortunate and premature ending to the campaign. Have you considered some heavy deus ex machina to return the characters to the land of the living? Of course I don't know the details of the TPK so it is hard to judge what I would really do in your place. It just seems a shame to scrap a game that appeared to be going great.

P.S. By the way, I have really enjoyed all of your columns. I wish that a) I had the time to play / GM these days, and b) I lived close enough to try out your games. They have all struck me as quite interesting.

Art,
I have a serious flaw as a DM in that I lose focus in any campaign where I adjust/change/mess with the XP, level, and characters. I've just had to come to accept that I need the PCs to earn levels naturally without my interference. Every time I start to monkey with the PCs as a DM out of game it leads to disaster.
That being said, we have started a new campaign that is going really well and which I cover in April's column. The previous campaign had some additional issues that the whole group addressed and moved past.
As to wanting to play in my campaign, thanks, that a great compliment. I don't know how much time you have, but I will be running a play by post starting in May and you would be welcome to join it if you like.
I run it using Yahoo Groups. I plan to post once a week on Wed and then allow responses through Sat night. I ran a PBP this way last summer and it worked well.
If you are interested you can get a free e-mail account at Yahoo if you want one just for the PBP. Private message me with the e-mail account and I can send you an invite to the group.
In addition to several players who don't live near me anymore who are playing, one player from Iceland has joined up. The group is quite interesting and I'm looking forward to the PBP.
