Has anybody looked at these things (http://paizo.com/store/gameAids/gameMasteryProducts/itemPacks/v5748btpy7m6a&source=top)? I picked up a few packs, and they're pretty.

The randomization of the booster packs annoys the heck out of me, though. I would much, much prefer to be able to buy the sets. That said, it might not be completely useless to have multiple copies of some items, like potions and such.

I think, in order to really use these, character sheets would have to be put into duotangs, or something, with those nine slot card sheets in the back. You could then have actual cards for every item you're carrying, and for consumables (or if your character's caught in a fireball trap) you could remove the cards as the items are eliminated. Using the card sheets would let your make notes (like, say, what the items, y'know, do...) without wrecking the cards.

I like the idea. I'm very undecided about the randomness.

Interesting. I was recently toying with the idea of using Magic Set Editor to make custom MTG cards depicting D&D equipment, then print them out and use them to keep track of my stuff.

When I look at that page now, it says "Item Pack One contains 54 non-random playing-card–sized cards to help GMs track important treasures."

(Emphasis mine.)

Honestly, I think I like Hapolo781's idea better. :)

Yeah, there's two non-random packs, and then there are four random sets that come in boosters.
