Another single-die system is HârnMaster, where you roll a d100 and must roll under your skill (rounded to nearest 5) to succeed

This is not quite correct - skills are normal straight percentiles , they are not rounded to the nearest 5 .

I checked, and you are (of course) right. The rounding must have been a house rule our GM made.
