I'm glad you enjoyed Gen Con, and meeting Gary.
I must admit, however, to being a bit boggled at people not knowing where trolls and IOUN stones came from. All my friends have read Anderson and Vance -- is that not common any more?

I actually did know where they came from but hearing it from Mr. Gygax was even better. I don't get the impression from my gamers that a common body of fantasy lore exists for gamers anymore except for Tolkein and Lovecraft .

And yeah, hearing Gary tell the story is ALWAYS better.
