What RQ4 and Glorantha needs is a book of myths and HeroQuests to go with them.
There are stacks of Gloranthan myths available. www.glorantha.com has a great deal of information, usable with 3rd and 2nd Age Glorantha. The 'Stafford Library' (Issaries/Moon Design) is also a great resource for such information, and is system agnostic, too.
As more RQ Gloranthan books are published, you'll see more 2nd Age myths coming to the fore ('Dara Happa Stirs', coming next year, is a mythic campaign to rid DH of the EWF, for example; and 'Blood of Orlanth' is based around a very potent Orlanthi/EWF myth), but a book of myths? I'm not so sure. Myths need context, and HeroQuests are engaged upon for specific reasons. Sure, God Learners go myth-plundering because they can, but the same myth can have a score of interpretations depending on the culture of the teller. The Lightbringers Myth, for instance, will have very different explanations depending on the viewpoint. Yelmalians in Dara Happa will interpret the myth in fundamentally different ways to Orlanthi.
But there could be some mileage in such a book - although, knowing how passionate Gloranthaphiles get about mythic interpretations, such a book might raise more questions (and cause more arguments) then answers. ;)
I do like the Duck myth though!
