What can you absolutely not stand in video games?

For me, it's jumping puzzles in non-platform games. Especially in shooters.

And first-person games that don't have an option to reverse the mouse's Y axis.

The way I see it, every game gives you a skill set (SotC gives you jumping, climbing, and swording; Half-Life gives you running, shooting, and crowbarring; Ocarina of Time gives you swording, horsing, boomeranging, ocarinaing, etc.). Good games will make their problems use the skills that they have taught/given you.

I too hate it when games throw in problems that have nothing to do with the skill set.

Long load times when loading saves. If I die, it's usually not a problem. If I die and have to wait more than ten seconds to play again, that's a big problem. Loading a full level can take 2-3 min, longer if they're really really big, but loading from saves should never take very long.

Games with the almost-impossible jumps. I can't play Oddworld because of this.

Games that break immersion with the in-game chat. One fourth-wall breaking comment is fine, but allies running around saying "Owned" like fourth-graders is not. I'm talking about Quake Wars, if you can't tell.

Online games that don't allow user-created servers, excluding MMOs. I bought your damn game, now let me LAN it up with my friends who have dial-up.
