Due to my significant otherīs, shall we say intense enthusiasm for WoW Iīm kinda-looking to get back in the groove with the game. Getting back to my Human Rogue after all this time, though, proved harder than I expected.

Sheīs level 27 now and sort of aimlessly wandering around in the Wetlands killing raptors for their hides wasnīt all that enthusing - but I know that I had pretty fun with some solo-questing before.

Therefore: is there a particular resource, guide etc. that I should look up when it comes to appropriate quests-by-level, ideal hunting grounds for skinners/leatherworkers... and stuff like that? Or do you have any particular tips for getting back into the thick of it that doesnīt involve joining up with a guild just yet (because I have zero commitment capacity, having fucked up these things before)?

I also really really do not want to start all over again even if it would probably be a good idea in some aspects - the thought of re-grinding those levels seems so hopelessly off.

Thankful for any and all response.

Pick up Jame's Alliance leveling guide over on wowpro.com Its a little dated since the latest patch, but you'll find that once you hit lvl 30 the levels will fly by now. They revamped a lot of the quest xp etc. So you'll find a ton of stuff easier to solo and you'll outlevel zones easily.

As for Skinning etc.... I always found it easy to keep skinning just about maxed. Its just something natural you do while questing. Some zones don't have a ton, but then the next zone you hit will be just swimming in skinables. Leatherworking as always takes time and dedication.

Well, first of all the Dranei and Blood Elf starting areas are well done enough that 1-20 does not feel like a grind at all! If you were to consider restarting that would be where to start. However, there are a couple of things you can do if you haven't done them already... There are still quests in the Wetlands and Duskwood that are level appropriate, if you haven't done them already. There's also Jame's Alliance Leveling Guide (http://www.wow-pro.com/node/599) which is somewhat out of date (Pre BC) but still useful. With the changes to leveling you'll probably find that you're ahead of it in places, certainly you would be able to ignore the places where it says to grind.

The Alliance leveling Guide has been upgraded for BC, it just doesn't include a 60 - 70 leveling path, though recently they added a 60 - 65 leveling guide. All the extra quests added by the addition of Dreanai quest givers in 2.0 is covered, like the dude in the Hinterlands, or the other one in Western Plaguelands.

Well, if you want rep rewards in outland, the best leveling guide is to go run instances until you hit honored with any given associated faction, then do the quests. That will make sure you level like a pro.

Did they? I haven't checked it recently. :)

The Leveling Guides generally don't care about reputuation. Their guiding light is leveling you as fast as possible, and leveling as fast as possible is done through questing.
