I've seen this feat referenced a number of times in character builds, and while kicking around a character concept I was trying to figure out what exactly it was and which book it was in.

Can anyone help me out here? I just want a general idea of the in-game effects (how is it different than Acute, which lets you detect fine details?) and which book I can find it in.

It's in Ultimate power. Basically, it's the step beyond acute. Where Acute gives fine details, analytical does things like chemical composition, precise dimensions and mass, etc, etc. It's basically bragging rights as regards game effects. You might give Cyclops "Analytical Spatial sense." in the interpretations of him where he's able to precisely calculate vectors in his head just by looking at a room, for example. Or a robot or powered armor's HUD might display data in an analytical fashion.

Alright, thanks, that sounds interesting.

I was looking for something like this, as I was thinking of making a character like Planetary's Drummer, someone who can see the world as information.
