DLC Week of June 3rd Jimmy Buffett/Disturbed

Ready to get your head spinning? This week are we really covering the spread. First we have a three pack of songs from Jimmy Buffett for $1.99 each (160 Microsoft Points) or $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points) for the pack. Jimmy Buffett rerecorded the three songs for exclusive use in Rock Band, turns out he really digs the game.

Also along for the ride this week is the long-awaited Disturbed three-pack of songs from their new album INDESTRUCTIBLE. Best Buy recently announced they are partnering with MTV Games and Hamonix to offer Disturbed fans the opportunity to download two free tracks from the band’s highly anticipated new album, INDESTRUCTIBLE. By pre-ordering the album at www.BestBuy.com/disturbed, fans will receive instructions to download title track “Indestructible” and “Inside The Fire” for Rock Band from Xbox Live. Both of those songs will also be available to all Rock Band owners on 360 and PS3 along with a third track from the album "Perfect Insanity". Each Disturbed track will be available for $.99 per track (80 Microsoft Points) for a limited time, or $2.99 (240 Microsoft Points) for the three pack.

Tracks are as Follows-

"Margaritaville" by Jimmy Buffett (master - new original recording)
"Cheeseburger in Paradise" by Jimmy Buffett (master - new original recording)
"Volcano" by Jimmy Buffett (master - new original recording)
"Indestructible" by Disturbed (master)
"Inside the Fire" by Disturbed (master)
"Perfect Insanity" by Disturbed (master)

Also has anyone seen this - My Name Is Might Have Been: The Post Apocalyptic Rock Band comic (http://www.mighthavebeen.net/view.php?ID=1)? Killer.

And our Master tracklist streak not only continues, we actually get brand new master recordings by Buffett. That's kinda cool. Makes me wonder if after the various complaints people always have about the covers if they're steering away from them now?

I'm definately getting the Buffett pack. Not sure yet if I'll snag the Disturbed pack. I'm not generally a fan, but I'll give these a listen to before I decide.

I'm interested to see what the Disturbed pack sounds like. Some of their songs that I've heard are definately fun enough that I'd download them.

Meh. I'll pass this time. Fortunately there's still a ton of other stuff that I like that I have to play through and download.

They actually broke the "no covers" streak with Beetlebum.

I've gotta admit, Jimmy Buffett is a surprise choice :o
Wonder how they are going to chart Margaritaville?

I'm all over that. I love Buffet. :) Disturbed... don't know them well enough, might get a song to see. :)

Ahh, yeah, forgot about Blur. I'm half inclined to ignore it since it's part of the actual Euro Rock band game setlist. ;)

I'm trying to remember if most Buffett stuff conforms to the Rock band 4-instrument setup? I almost want to say no, but could be wrong. But that may be why we have fresh, new recordings.

Though I'm hoping they're better than Guitar hero's "New recordings" from GH3 and the Def Leppard DLC (At least from what I heard on the preview for them). Anarchy in the UK was a simply horrid new version, for example.

I'll grab the Disturbed pack for sure. I'm listening to the album right now and it's pretty good though it won't be easy songs to play.

I love how the new version of Volcano includes a reference to Rock Band. I almost couldn't finish singing it after that from laughing.
