Did Battlefield 2142 ever have a single player campaign?

Battlefield: Modern Combat has a single-player campaign as well, but it's not very good.

Battlefield 1942 had one in name only. It wasn't, you know, anything other than the multiplayer with bots.

As others have said, BF2142 has no single player campaign. There are a couple of mods that makes the single player a bit more interesting, generally by making more maps available and/or allowing more equipment, but even those are no campaign, just multiplayer with bots.

(Which can be fun too. I especially like the "Zombie" mod which puts one normal side against a huge number of "zombies" swinging knives.)
