<a href=http://www.bardsandsages.com>Bards and Sages</a> announces that Peter Balaskas’ novel, <b>The Grandmaster</b>, won the Best Science Fiction Novel Category at the 2008 Hollywood Book Festival. The Festival, started in 1999, recognizes the best of independent presses.
The Grandmaster follows the life of Dr. Johann Wagner, a paranormal psychologist with psionic powers. Now in his later years, a horror from his past has reappeared to destroy him. Written in journal format, the novel tells the story of Wagner's captivity at a Nazi concentration camp, where his growing psionic powers come to the attention of an equally gifted, and completely evil, Commander.
