So do you prefer the Channel Divinity Feats or did you prefer 3e's Domains and Domain Powers?

Right now I like the CV feats much better because most of them are useful at every level. (just check out armor of Bahamut) I do hope though that its possible to have more than one CV feat and more come outfor the core panthetheon (especially the evil deities). Only one CV can still ofcourse be usable per encounter so balance wise it should be no prob.

One thing irking me though is the cleric getting TU by default; IMO randiance of Pelor is a great example how someone could give his cleric Turn Undead if he wished.

I prefer the Channel Divinity feats to Domains, mostly because they are deity specific, and don't involve arbitrary collections of spells. I do wish some of them were less absurdly situational, though (Sehanine, for instance).

Agreed. I hope they give us a few more CD's for the core panthetheon at least.

Also, what about Spheres vs Domains vs Portfolios?

Basically 4e mentions 'spheres' but it doesn't seem to mean the same thing as 2e's spheres. Maybe if there was a CD feat for every sphere of the deity...

I think both CVs and Domains were weak-sauce. We need proper differentiation between clerics of different deities, for them to be limited to their big hooha's Spheres of influence while gaining thematic powers.

with 3E you could use Domains (as mayor spheres) and split of "domain powers" as CD. Then you just have to cut down the "basic" cleric spell list ... would be interesting to do this.
