I am pretty new at this whole Ebay thing. I bought a couple things a few years ago, but I've never really sold anything.
That is going to change this month and I quickly tossed up my copy of Green Ronin's Black Company here. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280273280965)
Later I'll be selling an autographed Changeling 2nd edition hardback, a Rogue Trader paperback and an assortment of other games and supplements that I haven't touched in years and years.
If anybody is interested, I thank you for the help. :)

Nine bucks shipping for one book is kinda steep. You should offer a media mail rate. Good luck!

I'm just going by what the wizard is telling me on that. Like I said, I'm kinda new here.
There is a five dollar option that the wizard gave and I clicked that, but I'll remember to check out media mail for when I sell more things. EDIT- It is still cheaper than Amazon.com so far. ;)
Thanks for the advice there!

Instead of using the shipping wizard, you can attract more bidding, IMO, if you tell buyers that you will charge actual shipping, based on their selection (media as one possibility for someone, e.g.).

Thanks! I'll look up how to do that, too. I appreciate all the tips.
Ten bucks is still more than I would have gotten for it locally, so I count it as a win.
I'm just worried that I'll have to sell my Tribe 8 collection. :(

Yeah, it's cheaper, but buyers aren't getting the same level of guarantee through private sellers, so price is the only incentive.
Your price is good, and that book will sell even with the 9$ shipping. Just don't charge 10$ and ship it for 3$, buyers tend to notice things like that and leave negative feedback these days ;)

$3 is media mail rate - why would that be bad? Or be a reason to leave negative feedback? I support sellers who are reasonable on price and shipping and leave positive feedback when they deliver. Nine bucks shipping for a book is too much, IMO.

Because if he charges 10$ for shipping, then spends 3$, buyers tend to resent a handling charge of over 200% ;)
It isn't the slightest bit rational, as the total price should be the same regardless of what % goes toward shipping in an auction.

I understood your usage of the word "charge" as the winning price of the book - not the shipping price. My bad.

I should have been more clear, sorry.
To the OP: What Tribe 8 stuff are looking to rid yourself of??

I think I have just about everything published right up until Capal. However, I don't actually want to get rid of that if I don't have to, but money is at an emergency tightness right now.
What I know I am going to ditch would be things like a paperback Rogue Trader, an Escaflowne box set, CoC 5th special edition and an autographed copy of C:tD. After I move, I'll sort out what I'm putting up on Ebay and I'll post all of them.
