Can you use this to hit the same target multiple times, or must you choose different targets?

Serpent Dance Strike

You weave through the battlefield, striking like a hungry serpent and sweeping the feet out from under your enemies.

Daily Martial, Weapon
Standard Action Melee weapon

Target: One creature

Attack: Strength vs. AC

Hit: 2[W] + Strength modifier damage, and the target is knocked prone if it is your size or smaller.

Effect: After the attack, you can shift 1 square and repeat the attack against another target within reach. You can shift and repeat the attack up to three times against different targets.

I'd say different targets for all strikes.

Looks like you have to target different targets. "Another" tends to mean "not the same", by my understanding.

Precisely.

Another question appeared before me:
Does repeat three times mean up to 4 attacks (including the first) or just 3?

I could see either reading, English class never sent me to navigate down the road of the particular applications of "repeat"

Precisely.

Actualy, on re-reading, I think the question is about the aftereffect attacks, and if you can alternate back-and-forth between two targets.

The former. You can repeat the aftereffect attack three times, so it makes for four attacks total.
