View Full Version : [4e] Tactics for Fey-Pact Warlock?

I think I have a handle on the 3e Warlock's tactics (I like to be a sniper "archer", for instance).

But I was wondering, assuming one has a Fey-Pact Warlock, who takes only Fey themed Encounter and Daily powers, would the same tactics apply? Or am I meant to mix it up a bit in meelee and draw some fire? Should I concentrate on any particular opponents?

I know that things are situational, but I was wondering if this particular class + power choice combo lends itself to certain ways of playing the character in combat.

Oh, if it matters, I was thinking of the Doppleganger race, for extreme advantages outside of combat. :)

Fey-pact focuses primarily on mobility and ranged shenanigans. The only time you'll want to be in melee is to use Otherwind Stride, which immediately removes you from melee.

My Feypact Warlock is often at the front of the battlefield or stalking a solo target by herself. Prime Shot + Eyebite (or equivalent) = good hunting! Of course, she's a gnome, so she's packed to the gills with Stealth and invisibility.
