I'm doing some volunteer work for an Oxfam charity shop and have been asked to price a box of rpgs from a house clearance. It appears that the guy was a bit of a collector, as there appears to be some older stuff here in practically mint condition.

However, I'm not quite sure where to go to find prices fore these, bar Amazon or Ebay. If you have any suggestionsas to what they're worth or where to find out, please let me know.

I'll be posting what I find as I go through the box.

First Item:

Boxed set of the Buck Rogers XXVC The 25th Century game from TSR, copyrighted as from 1990. Has the number 3562 on the side, don't know if this is a series number or something. Books, maps and reference sheets in mint condition, markers still in their cardboard sheet, but apparently missing a dice set.

Seems to be going for between £20-£30 on ebay.

Second item:

Red Steel Audio CD campaign for 2nd Edition AD&D. Books and maps in mint condition but unfortunately missing the audio cd. Box a bit scuffed at corners. Has the number 2504 in the upper right corner. Copyrighted 1994.

Can't find this on Amazon or Ebay, the only thing a search returns is something called Savage Baronies which has a different cover.

Third Item:

Talisman: The Magical Quest Game copyright Games Workshop 1983. Box is a bit battered, but board, instructions, cards and counters all present and in good condition.

Can't find this edition anywhere on Amazon or Ebay.

Take a look at this site (http://www.bookfinder4u.com/). If you have an ISBN it is very easy to find out what people are asking for these items.

Just remember that the lowest price on this site is the price that has not been paid so take it as the upper limit of what you should ask for.

For old TSR items, I would suggest contactin member from The Acaeum:

http://www.acaeum.com/

They keep a great track on current values of D&D materials, and I think you could find a few memeber who could help you with the other TSR items.

For looking up pricing, you could always try ABE books here:

http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchEntry

This is the Advanced Search engine that will help you get better results with the more information you enter.

Good luck!

Thanks very much, I'll have a look on those sites. We're pricing them at the lower end of the spectrum to make sure we move them on: there's not much space for them. They'd been stuck in the back of the stock room because the manager wasn't sure what they were.
